• Primary Area : 모든 장애물 회피(obstacle clearance)가 제공되는 명의상의 비행 항적(flight track)에 대해 대칭적으로 배치된 한정된 지역. 
• Primary Radar : 반송 무선 신호를 이용하는 레이더 시스템(장비).
• Primary Surveillance Radar (PSR) : 반송 무선 신호를 이용하는 감시 레이더 시스템.
• Procedure Altitude/Height : Procedure altitude/height는 minimum altitude/height 이상에서 운용상 비행하고 intermediate/final approach segment에서 규정된 descent gradient/angle에서 stabilized descent를 수용하기 위해 수립된 ATC 요구 사항에 따라 개발된 recommended altitude/height임. Procedure altitude/height는 SMA(Segment Minimum Altitude) 또는 SMSA(Segment Minimum Safe Altitude) 보다 절대 낮지 않음.
• Procedure Turn (PT) (ICAO) : 항공기가 지정된 경로를 진입하기 위해 지정된 경로의 반대 방향으로의 진행을 허가하며, 반대 방향으로 선회할 때 지정 경로를 벗어나 수행하는 선회 기동. [참조 1 : procedure turn은 최초 선회의 방향에 따라 "left" 또는 "right"로 설정됨. / 참조 2 : procedure turn은 각각의 독립적인 절차의 상황에 따라, 수평 비행이나 강하 비행 모두 수행할 수 있도록 설정될 수 있음.]
• Procedure Turn (PT) (USA) : Intermediate approach segment 또는 final approach course에 항공기를 establish 시키기 위해 방향 전환이 필요할 때의 규정된 기동. Outbound course, 선회 방향, 선회를 완료해야 하는 distance 및 minimum altitude는 절차에 명시됨. 그러나 달리 제한되지 않는 한 선회를 시작할 수 있는 지점과 선회율 및 선회의 type은 조종사의 재량에 따름.
• Procedure Turn Inbound : Course reversal이 완료되고 항공기가 intermediate approach segment 또는 final approach course에서 inbound로 establish 되는 procedure turn 기동의 지점. "Procedure turn inbound"의 report는 일반적으로 분리 목적을 위한 위치 보고로 ATC에 의해 사용됨.
• Profile : 가상의 track을 포함한 수직면상의 flight path 또는 그 일부분에 대한 직각 투영도. 
• Prognostic Chart : 특정 시각 또는 기간 중 특정한 지표면 또는 공역에 있어서의 특정한 기상 요소에 대한 예보를 도표로 그려놓은 지도.

• Primary Area : A defined area symmetrically disposed about the nominal flight track in which full obstacle clearance is provided. (See also Secondary Area.)
• Primary Radar : A radar system which uses reflected radio signals.
• Primary Surveillance Radar (PSR) : A surveillance radar system which uses reflected radio signals.

• Procedure Turn (PT) (ICAO) : A maneuver in which a turn is made away from a designated track followed by a turn in the opposite direction to permit the aircraft to intercept and proceed along the reciprocal of the designated track. [Note 1 : Procedure turns are designated "left" or "right" according to the direction of the initial turn. / Note 2 : Procedure turns may be designated as being made either in level flight or while descending, according to the circumstances of each individual procedure.]
• Procedure Turn (PT) (USA) : The maneuver prescribed when it is necessary to reverse direction to establish an aircraft on the intermediate approach segment or final approach course. The outbound course, direction of turn, distance within which the turn must be completed, and minimum altitude are specified in the procedure. However, unless otherwise restricted, the point at which the turn may be commenced and the type and rate of turn are at the discretion of the pilot. 
• Procedure Turn Inbound : That point of a procedure turn maneuver where course reversal has been completed and an aircraft is established inbound on the intermediate approach segment or final approach course. A report of "procedure turn inbound" is normally used by ATC as a position report for separation purposes. 
• Profile : The orthogonal projection of a flight path or portion thereof on the vertical surface containing the nominal track.
• Prognostic Chart : A forecast of a specified meteorological element(s) for a specified time or period and a specified surface or portion of airspace, depicted graphically on a chart.
