• Grid Point Data In Digital Form : 기상 컴퓨터에서 다른 컴퓨터로 전송하기 위해 지도(chart) 상에 일정한 간격으로 위치한 지점 내의 기상 자료를 자동 이용에 적절한 code 형태로 컴퓨터가 처리한 자료. / 참고 - 대부분의 경우 이러한 데이터는 medium speed 또는 high speed 통신 채널에서 전송됨. 
• Grid-Flex Micro-Surfacing : 고도로 정교하고 환경적으로 안전한 *cor tar 유도체를 사용하여 산화 방지 및 내연료성 특성을 달성하여 포장도로의 안정적인 마모 표면을 형성하는 열가소성 화합물.
• Ground Communications Outlet (GCO) (USA) : Staff가 없고 원격으로 ground를 통제 / ground 통신 시설. 비관제 공항에서 조종사는 VHF를 통해 ATC와 FSS에 contact 하여 instrument clearance를 얻거나, VFR 또는 IFR flight plan을 낼 수 있음. 또한 조종사는 이륙 전에 업데이트된 기상 브리핑을 받을 수도 있음. 조종사는 VHF radio의 4번의 "key clicks"를 사용하여 해당 ATC에 contact 하거나, 6번의 "key clicks"를 이용해 FSS에 contact 할 수 있음. GCO system은 ground에서만 사용하도록 설계됨. 
• Ground Effect : 회전익 항공기 또는 기타 VTOL 항공기가 지상 근처를 운항할 때, rotor system의 공기 흐름에 대한 지표면의 간섭으로 인해 발생하는 성능 향상(lift) 상태. / 참고 : Rotor efficiency는 대부분 헬리콥터에 대해 약 1 rotor 직격의 높이로 ground effect에 의해 증가됨.
• Ground Visibility : 전문적인 관측자가 관측한 비행장(aerodrome)에서의 시정.
• Heading : 일반적으로 북쪽(진북, 자북, 나침북 또는 격자북)을 기준한 각도로 나타내는 항공기의 세로축이 가리키는 방향.
• Height : 지정된 기준점에서 측정된 어떤 수준점, 또는 물건을 점으로 생각한 위치까지의 수직 거리.
• Height Above Airport (HAA) : 공표된(published) 공항 표고(airport elevation) 위의 MDA의 높이. 이것은 circling minimum에 관해서 함께 발행됨.
• Height Above Touchdown (HAT) : 활주로의 Touchdown zone에서 가장 높은 활주로 표고(runway elevation) 위의 Decision Height(결심 높이) 또는 Minimum Descent Altitude의 높이. HAT는 모든 직진입 minimum과 관련한 계기 접근 차트에 발행됨. 
• High Frequency Communications : 해상 운용에서 공대지 통신에 활용되는 3~30 MHz대의 고주파.

• Grid Point Data In Digital Form : Computer processed meteorological data for a set of regularly spaced points on a chart, for transmission from a meteorological computer to another computer in a code form suitable for automated use. / Note - In most cases such data are transmitted on medium or high speed telecommunications channels.
• Grid-Flex Micro-Surfacing : A thermoplastic compound that use highly refined, environmentally safe *coal tar derivative for anti-oxidation and fuel-resistance qualities to create a stable wearing surface for pavements.
• Ground Communications Outlet (GCO) (USA) : An unstaffed, remotely controlled ground / ground communications facility. Pilots at uncontrolled airports may contact ATC and FSS via VHF to a telephone connection to obtain an instrument clearance or close a VFR or IFR flight plan. They may also get an updated weather briefing prior to take-off. Pilots will use four "key clicks" on the VHF radio to contact the appropriate ATC facility, or six "key clicks" to contact FSS. The GCO system is intended to be used only on the ground. 
• Ground Effect : A condition of improved performance (lift) due to the interference of the surface with the airflow pattern of the rotor system when a helicopter or other VTOL aircraft is operating near the ground. / Note - Rotor efficiency is increased by ground effect to a height of about one rotor diameter for most helicopters.
• Ground Visibility : The visibility at an aerodrome, as reported by an accredited observer. 
• Heading : The direction in which the longitudinal axis of an aircraft is pointed, usually expressed in degrees from North (true, magnetic, compass or grid).
• Height : The vertical distance of a level, a point or an object considered as a point, measured from a specified datum.
• Height Above Airport (HAA) : The height of the Minimum Descent Altitude (MDA) above the published airport elevation. This is published in conjunction with circling minimums.
• Height Above Touchdown (HAT) : The height of the Decision Height or Minimum Descent Altitude above the highest runway elevation in the touchdown zone of the runway. HAT is published on instrument approach charts in conjunction with all straight-in minimums.
• High Frequency Communications : High radio frequencies (HF) between 3 and 30 MHz used for air-to-ground voice communication in overseas operations.
